Coaching

Hannah is a fully qualified RYA Racing Coach and having been part of the British Sailing Team for over 16 years,  she has received first hand a very high level of coaching. This unique background has allowed her to get a real understanding of the personal approach to coaching, and she is very aware that a “one size fits all” approach is not applicable in the sailing world!

Hannah has worked with various different levels of sailors from Professional Yacht racing teams, Youth and Junior squads as well as Blind and Paralympic teams. With a broad racing background encompassing many different types of boats, all the way up from Mirrors and optimists,  to Lasers, 420’s, 29ers and keelboats, and using her knowledge of high level racing, Hannah helps to bring the best out of all the sailors she coaches.

In the thick of it! On the water direct feedback is key…

Hannah is always looking to do more coaching, as its something she really loves! We have access to a 6 meter rib for coaching, which Hannah is fully qualified to drive, as well as holding valid first-aid and VHF certificates. I’m Hannah

This space is where I share the journey, the grind, and the joy of life on and off the water. From the highs of competition to the behind-the-scenes battles for inclusion in our sport, you’ll find honesty here—no sugar-coating. Sailing has shaped my life, and this blog is about giving back: telling the stories that matter, celebrating the people who push boundaries, and highlighting why our community is so special.

Whether you’re a sailor, supporter, or just curious about what it takes to fight for change in sport, I hope you’ll find inspiration (and maybe a bit of fire) here. Together, we can prove that sailing is for everyone, everywhere.

Welcome aboard—let’s set sail.
