Expecting more…

So lets think back to Friday the 30th January, that was the day we found out that Paralympic Sailing has been dropped from Tokyo 2020.

It’s really a defining moment for my sport.

Now sailing, especially disabled sailing is something that I’m really passionate about, I mean I’ve devoted over 12 years of my life to winning medals at the Paralympic Games. I’ve also been part of the Sailors Advisory council for over 5 years now, in fact, I am the Chairperson.

So you can understand my disappointment in the actions of ISAF and more importantly IFDS over the past few days. There has literally been a wall of silence.

Our sport is out of the Paralympics, Rio is the last shot.

Lets just let that sink in.

I’m Hannah

This space is where I share the journey, the grind, and the joy of life on and off the water. From the highs of competition to the behind-the-scenes battles for inclusion in our sport, you’ll find honesty here—no sugar-coating. Sailing has shaped my life, and this blog is about giving back: telling the stories that matter, celebrating the people who push boundaries, and highlighting why our community is so special.

Whether you’re a sailor, supporter, or just curious about what it takes to fight for change in sport, I hope you’ll find inspiration (and maybe a bit of fire) here. Together, we can prove that sailing is for everyone, everywhere.

Welcome aboard—let’s set sail.
