So if you follow me on social media, you’ll notice that recently a lot of my posts and stories have been Peloton related right?
I also realise that a lot of you also know how much I hate cardio, and that my relationship historically with fitness and training in general has been anything but positive; so why on earth would I suddenly get a static exercise bike??
Well, like all of you, I’ve seen the Peloton adverts on TV, I’ve seen their adverts on social media, and like many, I was intrigued… so I did my research, a lot of research to be honest, and I really took my time making the decision.
Now at this stage, I had never even considered reaching out to Peloton, I was just planning to pay monthly and work towards paying the bike off gradually. Once I finally made the decision that I was going to go for it and fork out the rather large sum of money on this piece of kit, I started chatting to Peloton about purchasing, and this was when I started to realise that they might be able to do me a deal on my bike… and they did… 3 weeks later, a van arrived (pre-lockdown I might add), 2 very friendly guys got out and hefted the bike into my house and set it all up…

Within 10 minutes of them leaving, I was riding in my first beginner class with Jenn Sherman all the way away in the USA!
Needless to say, my timing with all of this couldn’t have been better…
The bike has been a total godsend to me over these past months, it’s allowed me to structure my day around workouts, it’s kept me motivated, and best of all, it has a huge community that supports each other; just here in the UK for example, there’s an epically friendly ladies group who arrange to ride together, chat general rubbish about the best high waisted leggings, and generally encourage other to buy Dyson Airwraps, Nike spinning shoes and Opalex hair treatments 🙂

My historical hatred of cardio is slowly wearing off, and I’ve realised that I’m worth a lot more that my fitness test scores that once dictated my entire life. This bike has allowed me to be ok with myself again, its allowed me to stop looking in the mirror and being so critical of myself, and it has given me a place where I can be emotional, a place where I can have fun, and it’s given me support and strength in a way that I never thought it could.

So to anyone thinking of joining this community who might still be sitting on the fence as I once was… Do it! It has literally been one of the best things I have done for myself, and no Peloton are not paying me to write this, all I got was a bit of money off my bike and some very cool accessories.
This bike has really changed my life and I really do think #togetherwegofar 🙂
