Keep on trucking…

Recently I’ve spent a lot of my time on the road, and I have to say its really one of my favourite places to be.

The car is my space, my time and things are on my terms. I choose where I go, how fast I get there, and it’s my choices at the end of the day.

I put my audiobooks on, or quite often I sing along to some tunes…. If people could only hear the racket 🙂

I’m very lucky to be sponsored by Volvo, so my little bubble of space is a rather awesome XC90. The car gives me the ability to pull the huge load that is a sonar, and it does it safely.

We must thank Volvo for their support, without them, we really would be stuck!

So here I am, sat at my Dad’s house in the Loire valley….

“Victor” the V70 sat in Dad’s field with the Rib

I left Portsmouth on the Caen ferry with the Rib and Steve’s V70 on Saturday morning. I’m planning to leave here at 0600 tomorrow and do the 700 miles to Hyeres in one go.

Audiobooks at the ready!

I’m Hannah

This space is where I share the journey, the grind, and the joy of life on and off the water. From the highs of competition to the behind-the-scenes battles for inclusion in our sport, you’ll find honesty here—no sugar-coating. Sailing has shaped my life, and this blog is about giving back: telling the stories that matter, celebrating the people who push boundaries, and highlighting why our community is so special.

Whether you’re a sailor, supporter, or just curious about what it takes to fight for change in sport, I hope you’ll find inspiration (and maybe a bit of fire) here. Together, we can prove that sailing is for everyone, everywhere.

Welcome aboard—let’s set sail.
